The Geo Brick is a revolution in colour
and ecology. Designed to revolutionise the Australian
brick industry. Geobrick offers homeowners a range
of beautiful, natural, untreated, pastel shades and
patterns of the Australian earth and bush never before
captured in house bricks.
Geo Bricks:
- 50-90% (depending on amount of stabiliser used
i.e. Geo Brick 16-4) less greenhouse gas levels
than traditional kiln fired brick production methods.
- Saves 4 - 6 tonnes of CO2 emissions per average
house lot (10,000 bricks).
- Are price-competitive with traditional bricks.
At no price penalty, homeowners will be able to
build houses that are exceptionally attractive
to the eye, and at the same time save money in
heating and cooling costs when used internally
as thermal mass.
- Stabilised, but not kilned. Instead they are
pressed, hand-stacked and air-dried in an open
hangar.
- Use no oxides for artificial colour.
- Superior thermal mass.
- Highlight the natural colours of the clays embodied
in the brick.
- Water resistant.
- Salt resistant (Geo Brick 16).
- Compression tested to 27mpa.
Geo Brick’s goal is to produce Australia’s
first ever commercially produced carbon neutral brick
in 2010.
