Geobrick is a clay / gravel and cement stabilized composite brick (rammed earth brick),
manufactured under extremely high pressures (30 tonne) through a ‘state of the art’ dry press
process at Bealiba, Victoria.
There is a range of 5 brick types, Geo 2, 4, 8, 12 & 16. These numbers represent the amount of
stabilizer (Portland cement) used in each type. For example, Geo 4 has 4% cement; Geo 8 has
8% cement and so on.
Geobrick makes a high quality, environmentally friendly, rammed earth house brick as a
replacement to the energy hungry traditional kiln fired brick and one which captures the soft
sandstone colors you see in the old gold country here and which is reflected in the trees and
wildflowers of the district and all over Australia. A brick that will blend harmoniously into any
land/streetscape to enhance the overall feel of a home, apartment block, school, hospital or any
other building.
The Company's quarries and brickworks sit astride Puzzle Flat Reef in the historic goldfields of
Central Victoria, at Bealiba, not far from Dunolly. Here, in 1857, Australia's largest gold nugget
